JT Walk to Defeat ALS
What started out as one team in the Hampton Roads ALS Walk has now become the National ALS Foundation's largest single day walk and fundraiser, raising over $4 million to date for stem cell research for neurological disorders, ALS patient services and the creation of JT's Grommet Island Beach Park & Playground for Everybody. Horizons Hampton Roads
Horizons Hampton Roads is a Virginia non-profit corporation established to provide educational and developmental assistance to school-age children living in families with limited income from first through ninth grades. Horizons directly benefits children of families with limited income from the Virginia Beach and Norfolk public schools by enabling them to attend a six-week summer enrichment program at a nominal cost.
Edmarc Hospice for Children
The mission of Edmarc Hospice for Children is to ease the trauma of a child’s illness or death, and to reduce the disabling effects of pediatric illness, loss, and bereavement on families.
Families of Autistic Children of Tidewater (F.A.C.T.)
F.A.C.T. works to improve the quality of life for individuals with autism and their families through the creation of social, recreational, and vocational programs designed to meet the unique needs of individuals with autism. F.A.C.T supports the integration of these individuals into the community by providing social and communication models, with emotional and behavioral supports.
